The Department of Management Studies of the Hirachand Nemchand College of Commerce is
the leading department dedicated to provide competent managers and entrepreneurs. The
institution is engaged in delivering contemporary business education tempered with strong
ethical values. The recipe that helps the institution to produce winning managers over the past 30
years, of course, is the academic excellence which focuses on personality development & team
orientation which also has been the motto of the institution since its inception in the year 1981.
The department offers professional courses like M.B.A., B.B.A. and B.C.A. The department runs
M.B.A. course successfully from 1981 and it is known as one of the premier institutes in
management education in western Maharashtra. Previously it was affiliated to Shivaji University,
Kolhapur and since 2005 with the inception of Solapur University; it got affiliated to Solapur
University. B.B.A. and B.C.A. courses were stared since 2005. The Department offers various
certification courses affiliated to bodies of national importance like NPTEL, IIT Bombay, NCFM
etc.

Associate Professor
Experience : 20 years of Academic experience.
Has 20 years of teaching experience at post graduate level. My area of interest is Human Resource Management and organisational Behaviour. A member of Solapur university examination panel and syllabus committee. Has completed UGC sponsored minor research project titled “A Study of Socio Economic Conditions of Bidi Workers in Solapur”. Awarded Ph.D from Shivaji University in 2005 for his research work on “Impact of Privatisation on Telecommunication in Maharashtra” He has also Published 9 Research papers in International Journal. He has been awarded as an Ideal Teacher Award in 2018 from Lions Club Solapur. He is also a Member of National Institute of Personnel Management. |

Dr. Mrs. Sayali A. Pataskar (B.E..M.B.A, Ph.D) – Assistant Professor
Experience : Teaching: 12 years, Industry: 5 years Completed B.E. (Civil) from Government College of Engineering, Pune and M.B.A. from I.M.E.D. with Marketing as specialization from Pune University. She has completed her Doctoral Research from Shivaji University in ‘Impact of Organized Retailing on Unorganized Retailers’. She has 10 years Full Time and 4 years as visiting lecturer experience for various Management Courses. She also has 4 years Industrial Experience. She has presented 22 Research Papers in various National and International Conferences. She has also presented research paper in International Conference at Thompson River University, British Columbia, Kamloops, Canada. She has published 15 research papers in 15 National and International Journals. |

Dr.Mrs. Snehal D. Godbole (B.Sc., M.B.A, Ph.D) – Assistant Professor
Experience : Teaching : 10 year, Industry : 2 years She completed B.Sc from Walchand College of Arts and Science, Shivaji University and M.B.A. from A.K.I.M.S.S, Bharti Vidyapeth, Pune with Human Resource Management & Information System as specialization. She has teaching experience of 10 years and Industry experience 2 years. She has completed her Ph.D from Solapur University on “A Study on Work Life Balance of women police employees in Solapur District”. She has presented 6 research papers in the National and International Conferences and published 1 research paper in a National Journal. Attended AICTE sponsored faculty development programme on Advanced Data Analysis for Management Research at ABV-IIITM, Gwalior. |

Dr.Mrs. Shama V. Kadadi (B.B.A., M.B.A, Ph.D, NET) – Assistant Professor
Experience : Teaching : 10 year Has 10 years of teaching experience. She has completed her Doctoral study from VTU-Belagavi on the topic Impact of Physician’s Emotional Intelligence on Patient Satisfaction. She has participated in FDPs and Workshops at IIM Kozhikode, IIITM Gwalior, VTU-Bengaluru and K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research in association with California State University San Bernadino. She has presented 13 research papers and has published 10 research papers in national and international journals. Her area of interest is Emotional Intelligence, Consumer Behaviour and Statistics. She is proficient with SPSS and AMOS statistical packages. |

Mr. Pravin B. Bajaj (B.SC..M.B.A.) – Assistant Professor
Experience : Teaching: 11 year, Industry: 5 years He has Industrial experience of 5 yrs. in Smruthi Organics Ltd., – a bulk drug manufacturing, public limited company. Held a Franchisee Centre of Aptech Computer Education as an Entrepreneur for a period of 10 yrs., he is a certified Aptech Faculty for more than 15 modules. He joined full time academics in 2011 to follow his passion of teaching and guide students on the professional career path. He is pursuing Ph.D. from SRTMU, Nanded and his research topic is ‘A Study on Issues Related to Computerization in Small Enterprises in Solapur City’. He has attended various FDPs in ‘Aptech’ for different modules, ‘FDP in Entrepreneurship’ conducted by MITCON sponsored by Department of Science and Technology New Delhi and ‘Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning ‘ conducted by IIT, Mumbai. He has been awarded as an Ideal Teacher Award in 2018 from Lions Club Solapur. |

Experience : Teaching: 14 years Mr. Suhas Khandal has an overall experience of 19 years in the corporate and academics. He has a successful track record of conducting placement drives for several batches of students. He specializes in subjects like Marketing Management & HRM. He has awarded the PhD. degree in the Marketing. He also has academic experience with various prestigious educational institutions. His research papers have been published in several national & international conference including Paris, Indonesia, Shanghai , Newzealand etc. He has the industry experience with organizations such as Parle Products Ltd., Mumbai , Suhana Masale,Pune and Adani Wilmar Ltd.,Ahemadabad. |

Experience : Teaching: 2 years He is working as an assistant professor in commerce . He has 2 years of teaching experience at post graduate level. He has completed M.Com from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, MBA and M.Phil from CSIBER, Kolhapur, and Diploma in Labour Law from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and presently he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Business Management from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He has attended one state level and one international level seminar in Commerce and Management and presented one research paper at international conference held at Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
